roxio sells off, changes name to napster
Roxio has sold off it's consumer software to Sonic Solutions, and changed it's name to Napster. It will concentrate on it's money losing music sales website.
Roxio was formerly the software arm of Adaptec, the SCSI interface people. They make EZ CD creator ad Toast, among other programs

expect nothing to be done to toast for 18 months, the time it takes a company to get over being sold. the price will probably go up: sonic has been selling things for huge money, even their consumer app. (as an aside, zappa was an early proponent of their stuff).
