The $899 EOS Digital Rebel is a stroke of genius on Canon's part. It fills the space between the $1500 10D and the $800 G5. It's especially welcome for those of us who already have Canon EF lenses. In perhaps an attempt to up the ante Sony has released specs on their 8.0 megapixel Cyber Shot DSC-F828, (that's a mouthful) which will retail for around $1200. Frankly I detest Sony almost as much as Apple, but I'm all for healthy competition.
